Waking up in a tent

To the babbling brook,

To the singing of birds,

And to bacon to cook,

To the flap of the door,

To the buzzing of bees,

To the smell of the woods

On the waft of the breeze,

To the crackle of fire,

To the taste of corn pone,

To the sweet solitude

Of out camping alone,

To the lacing of boots,

To the call of the trail,

To thoughts of adventure,

And to startling quail,

To the brilliant song

That is sung by daybreak...

Waking up in a tent

Is the best way to wake.
