Until We Both Are Old

Sweep me off my feet tonight, Make me forget my care. Stare at me with eyes so bright. Tangle your fingers in my hair.

Love me like there's no tomorrow, And kiss me til I swoon. I want to forget my sorrow And lie beneath the moon.

Wearisome, have been my days. My body's surely broken. Build my spirit in its place With words so sweetly spoken.

Life has not been kind to me, But my Savior surely has. For He has gifted you to me, And my heart shimmers like glass.

Hold me tightly in your arms. If you drop me, I might break. May angels follow in swarms With every step we take.

Gentle kindness soothes your voice On our happiest of days. In these moments I rejoice For the softness of your gaze.

Tell me oft' that you love me. I always want to hear it. I want to help you to see You're the true love of my spirit.

In case my days aren't long here, My wish is for you to know There is nothing else to fear Than the days that pass like snow.

Please love me every second. I will love you back tenfold. May our union never end Until we both are old.
