The Top of the World

Over the ridge,
to the crest of the hill,
Are we on top of the world?
Are we on TOP of the WORLD?!?
We emerge from the woods,
and time stands still.
Are we on top of the world?
We are on TOP of the WORLD!
If I look down I see clouds,
when I look up, I see you.
You are on top of the world.
We are on TOP of the WORLD.
A clearing of grasses
is wet with the dew
Here at the top of the world.
This is the TOP of the WORLD!
Surrounded by descent,
paths point down through the trees,
Down from the top of the world,
Was that the TOP of the WORLD?
I will remember forever
that heavenly tease
There at the top of the world.
We were on TOP of the WORLD!
