Watch your step On the icy mountain road. Don't listen To the old billy goat's goad.

The valley Starves for the taste it so loves Like a dog That is thrown scraps from above.

Its jowls Are open ever so wide, Ready to Swallow your forgotten hide.

One misstep Is all it takes to plummet. The mountain Won't care if you fall from it.

Gravity Has never once been your friend. Uncaring, It just delivers your end.

But your foe Is the ice that makes you slip, It sends you On an unplanned, straight down trip.

You may think You are wise and sure of step, But ice is The humility we get.
