Stealing Time

I'm a slippery little thief.

Why yes, it's true I stole.

I borrowed time that wasn't mine

To take a little stroll.

Oh, and I did not stop at that.

I sat down by a pond.

Then I sat and read a long book

To him of whom I'm fond.

We conspired and we laughed,

All on our schedule's dime.

While our duties had to wait,

We spent a lovely time.
