Remind Us of Tomorrow

It's the first day of spring

And life is in the air.

It's la primavera.

At last the weather's fair.

Birds in pairs are nesting

In the bushes and trees.

We can hear their singing

Harmonized by the bees.

Smells of flowers blooming

Make scent kaleidoscopes.

The warm sun lifts with it

Our faces and our hopes.

The thaw cannot be stopped;

It reaches the marrow,

Warming up our bones to

Remind us of tomorrow.
