October's Poem

Everybody likes October 'Cause it's the happy kiss of Autumn. There are candles, sweets, and pumpkins; It seems like everybody's got'em.

Pumpkin iced coffees in the south And hot apple lattes in the north Are what's helping people smile As we all keep running back and forth.

Spooky kids and candy lovers Are looking forward to Halloween. Costumes, webs, and jack'o'lanterns Are set up all over to be seen.

Teenagers are dressed in face paint To show school spirit for their team. Football games and a gym-floor dance Are the hopeful students' autumn dream.

Hard workers and business people Do their best to keep from missing out. They hang up pictures of fall trees And fantasy football makes them shout!

The air is getting crisp and cool, It must be time to bundle up. We drape ourselves with tasteful scarves And drink one more pumpkin from a cup.
