If you're not up to bat, and you're not sliding home plate, You're prob'ly on a base Thinking that you might be late.

Keep your eye on the ball Ev'n when positioned at noon; You may think that you've stalled, But you'll be running real soon.

You never know when there Could be such a flurry that It'll be your turn to move 'Cause someone else got to bat.

Charging through life is like Running fast from base to base; There'll be moments of calm, But then it's high time to race!

The game of life is hard And you will often strike out. Or you may be tagged, Or the umpire might shout.

But don't be discouraged. Just keep your eye on that ball. Home plate still awaits you, And you can answer its call.
