Wild, wild blackberries in the bush

Growing in abundance,

And in such a rush!

Growing, stretching, twisting through the woods

Revealing pink faces,

Throwing back green hoods.

Pink blotches turn to red, then black.

Bright green tendrils spiral

Up, over, and back.

Fall not into their clutches, or you'll stay

Caged in thorny berries

'Til your dying day.
