Metal bat and leather mitt;

Catchers catch and batters hit.

Run around from base to base;

Red clay smudged on every face.

Bright lights shine down on the field.

Hitters run, and basemen yield.

Try to be the very best!

Chase first base, then steal the rest.

Cleats that dig into the dirt;

Slide til untucked comes your shirt.

Keep a good eye on the ball.

Hit it over the far wall!

Then pitch it like a shooting star!

Short stop won't let it get far.

Throw the ball, quick, to first base;

Might win this by luck and grace.

Ball flies like a shooting gun;

Guest-team gets their last home-run.

Strike out in the final inning!

Home Team always ends up winning!
