A Poem... About... Fishing. Ugh.

Calm Water,

Jumping fish,

Cast your line

And make a wish

That for once

The line won't do

That stupid thing

Lines always do.

Look, it's tangled

Once again.

This is always

What happens when

You try to fish

With line and reel.

Somehow you just

Never feel

That serene calm

Fishermen say

There's to be had

On fishing day.

Detangle and then

Cast away.

Maybe this time

The line will stay...

Oh, oops, no,

You spoke too soon.

You've been fighting

Here since noon.

The tangle's worse

With every time.

Who said fishing

Was sublime?

Find your inner

Calm and breathe.

Think nice thoughts

And then believe

That this is fun.

You came here on purpose.

You WANT to be here,

And this lovely -DAGNABBIT, THE LINE IS TANGLED AGAIN! WHY DID I TRY THIS? I DONT EVEN LIKE FISHING! THIS IS STUPID! IT DOESN'T DESERVE A DAD GUM POEM! YOU WIN THIS TIME, YOU UGLY FISH! CURSE YOU, AND DIE, YOU ROTTON FISHING POLE!

...That's it, I'm going home.
