A Letter From Your Dog

Dear master, kind and fair,
I cannot help but observe
That you're pulling out your hair,
And your mood... It tends to swerve.
We can spend the evening in your room,
A trend you often seem to choose.
But if we do dare to leave the gloom,
I've already vented out your shoes!
I'll loop my leash around your wrist
And lead you out the garage door.
And from there, you get the gist-
We will have adventures galore!
Let's go trot along the banks
Of a river full of smells.
Let's give God our hearty thanks
For the secrets our world tells!
If you are still feeling sad,
I'll let you roll on a dead stingray.
It is really not too bad,
Even great fun, I have to say!
Let the salt water touch your toes.
Get your bum covered in dirt.
Never mind your dusty clothes.
I never did like you in that shirt.
The weather is quite nice, you know.
Silly human, you need not fret.
Walks are fun come sun or snow,
And if it rains, we'll just be wet!
I know when work is really hard,
You often feel like the day's through.
But even if it's just in the yard,
I could use a day out too. ❤️🐾
